About Thermascan2020

Thermascan 2020 was established in 2004 and is based in the Eastern Cape city of Port Elizabeth, South Africa.  Operating both locally, nationally and internationally, Thermascan 2020 specialises in predictive maintenance throughout a broad range of industries by utilising Infrared Thermal Image technology.

This technology combined with years of experience in the industrial and electrical fields, facilitates cost effective diagnostic screening of most equipment that requires maintenance.

Our years of experience enable us to pinpoint the specific maintenance requirements of your business, increasing your productivity and reducing costly downtime. Whether electrical or mechanical, Infrared Thermography is a highly effective predictive maintenance technique as it is a non-contact, non-invasive method which is able to instantly locate hot or cold spots, meaning equipment failure can be minimised and even prevented.

Electrical Applications of infrared thermography include inspecting the integrity of connections and finding hotspots in:-  high voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, fuses, electrical motor control centres, distribution boards, and transformers.

Mechanical applications of infrared thermography include the discovery and analysis of:- overloaded motors, failing motor bearings, furnaces & boilers, cold room & refrigerator leaks.

With a wealth of experience in the field of Industrial Thermography, the specialists at Thermascan 2020 are able to assist you in finding the best solution when it comes to maintaining productivity and ensuring effective power management.  Reports are tailored to suit the needs of our clients and are a valuable tool when prioritising maintenance scheduling.

Our thermographers are Qualified Electricians that have specialized in Thermography and are Internationally Accredited (ISO certified).
